Ingredients

Salmon

Sauce

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon dry and season with salt, pepper, paprika, and blackening seasoning, if using. Set aside.
  2. Adjust the oven rack to the middle position and preheat the broiler. Broiling with the rack too high can cause the sauce to burn.
  3. Add the butter and oil to a large, oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Once the butter has melted, add the garlic, water, soy sauce, sriracha, honey, and lemon juice. Cook for about 30 seconds, until the sauce is heated through.
  4. Place the salmon in the skillet, skin side down if using skin-on salmon. Cook for 3 minutes, frequently basting the top of the salmon with the sauce from the pan.
  5. Transfer the skillet to the oven and broil the salmon for 5 to 6 minutes, basting with the sauce once during cooking, until the salmon is caramelized and reaches the desired doneness.
  6. Garnish with minced parsley, if desired.
